November 18, 2025 | A Mental Health State of the Union – Are We Meeting the Need in Central Oregon?
In collaboration with City Club of Central Oregon
Tues, Nov 18th • 8-9:30am (PST) • First Presbyterian Church of Bend | Bend, OR
About
Mental health is at the forefront of public concern, yet access to care remains a critical challenge in our state and region. “Of all the 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Oregon ranks 49th in the nation for access to mental health care. Oregon has less than one mental health professional for every 1,000 people.” (Source: 2020-2024 Central Oregon Health Council RHIP Priority Area; Behavioral Health: Increase Access and Coordination) With a booming population here in Central Oregon and a unique geographic location, is our level of care for a population at risk keeping up with other regions of our size?
Join Oregon Health Forum and City Club of Central Oregon for a timely and candid conversation on the current state of mental health services in Central Oregon. We’ll explore key issues including provider shortages, barriers to care, community-based initiatives, and the impact of recent policy changes. Local experts and advocates will share data, personal stories, and challenges to help build a more resilient, responsive mental health system.
