As Oregonians continue to navigate the ongoing behavioral health crisis, rising health care costs and challenges around affordability and access, legislators are working toward solutions. The annual Legislative Preview is a powerful opportunity for community members, health care workers and lawmakers to gather in discussion about the issues and proposed solutions. Panelists

Representative Rob Nosse (D) – District 42
Rob Nosse is the State Representative for House District 42, which consists of inner Southeast and a little sliver of Northeast Portland. He serves as the Chair of the House Health Care Committee. He is also a member of the House Behavioral Health Committee and the Joint Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Ed Diehl (R) – District 17
Ed Diehl represents District 17, which extends from East Salem and Turner to Detroit and Idanha. He is Vice-Chair of the House Health Care Committee, and a member of the House Economic Development, Small Business & Trade Committee, the House Conduct Committee and the Ways & Means Subcommittee On Human Services.

Senator Deb Patterson (D) – District 10
Senator Deb Patterson represents District 10, which includes South and West Salem, Monmouth, Independence. She is Chair of the Senate Health Care Committee. She is also a member of the Senate Housing and Development Committee, the Senate Finance and Revenue Committee, and the Senate Labor and Business Committee.

Senator Sara Gelser Blouin (D) – District 8
Senator Sara Gelser Blouin represents District 8, which includes Corvallis, Albany, Tangent, Adair Village, South Salem and parts of Linn, Benton and Marion counties. She chairs the Senate Human Services Committee and is a longtime disability rights advocate who has led legislation addressing discrimination in health care delivery and improving services for vulnerable populations.

Rosie Bueford – Senior Advisor, Oregon Health Forum
Rosie Bueford is the Senior Advisor and former Director of OHF. Rosie has over 15 years of experience in health care spanning direct patient care, organizational leadership and policy advising. She is dedicated to creating a healthier Oregon through meaningful systemic reform, and currently serves as a clinical oncology social worker.
